AdviserAide allows you to create cases for both clients and employers. This page explains how to work with employer-specific cases (like accreditation and job check applications) and how to link employers to client cases when they’re acting as visa sponsors. To learn more about the Employer Management feature, see Employer Overview.

Creating a Case for an Employer

There are two ways to create a case for an employer:
1

Open the employer profile

Navigate to Employers in the left menu and click on the employer you want to create a case for.
2

Click Create Case

In the employer profile’s Overview tab, locate the Cases card on the right side and click Create Case.

Working with Employer Cases

Once created, employer cases work identically to client cases. You can:
  • Add documents to the case
  • Create file notes
  • Set reminders and tasks
  • Assign PDF forms or contracts
  • Send emails from the case
  • Track invoices in the Finance tab
For complete details on case management features, see the Case Profile documentation.

Client Cases with Employer Sponsorship

When creating a case for a client who is being sponsored by an employer (such as a work visa application), you can link the employer to the client’s case. This creates a clear record that the employer is sponsoring this particular visa application.
1

Create a case for the client

Navigate to the client’s profile and click Create Case, or create a case from the Cases page and select the client.
2

Select an employer

In the case creation form, you’ll see an Employer dropdown field:
  • Click the dropdown and search for the sponsoring employer
  • Select the employer from the list
  • This links the employer to the client’s case

3

Complete case details

Fill in the rest of the case information:
  • Case Category – Select the visa type (e.g., Work Visa, Skilled Migrant Visa)
  • Status, Due Date, Assigned Users
4

Save the case

Click Save Case.
The case now appears in three places:
  • The client’s profile (in their Cases card and Cases tab)
  • The employer’s profile (in their Clients card, showing cases for this linked client)
  • Your main Cases list

Benefits of Linking Employers to Client Cases

When you link an employer to a client’s case:
  • Clear sponsorship tracking – You can immediately see which employer is sponsoring which visa
  • Visible from both profiles – The case appears in the client’s profile AND in the employer’s profile under their linked clients
  • Better organisation – All cases related to an employer (their own cases plus sponsored client cases) are accessible from one place
Link an employer to a client’s case when the employer is the sponsor or has a direct involvement in the visa application. This makes it easy to track all work you’re doing that relates to that employer, even if the case is technically for an individual client.
